Overstaying Their Welcome

The anxieties consume you only in as much as you let them.

So imagine it as something concrete and tangible in your mind, allow it to materialize like so maybe in the form of a volume knob – something adjustable per se.  And now turn it down to its ultimate low. And imagine that metaphysical space going blank with pure silence – the sound of the absence of chaos. Peace of mind. That’s more like it.

You see overthinking really does some serious cerebral damage if you let it occupy a 24/7 parking slot in your brain. But yet we do it anyway, because we are congenitally curious. We feed our questions until they multiply like some kind of unrelenting cancer.

Can someone come up with some kind of defense mechanism against unwanted thoughts already? Please and much thanks.
