Cheers to Things Falling into Its Rightful Places

The first half of April was definitely not one of my best moments for the year 2012, but I guess the latter part of the month was definitely the better half. Sometimes, we just need to learn to let go of some things to make way for better ones.  Optimism in a sea of hurt is not the easiest thing, but time makes all the difference. Optimism is like learning how to ride a bike without the training wheels; difficult at first- your sense of balance becomes highly questionable- and then you sort of just get the hang of it and it all becomes natural to you.

So i figured, past is past. And there's no point in revisiting things that don't do any good for you. Took a while, but I realized that maybe now is the time to be more grateful for other things in life: Friends, family, and most especially God.

The Company of Good Friends: A Fail-Proof Remedy.
After a grueling 3 hour butt-cramping drive to Batangas, we touched down in La Luz all ready to hit the beach. After sporting our beach suits, we went island hopping then played beach volleyball and frisbee. Speaking of, I'm starting to suck less in frisbee! Just when I was beginning to think I was hopeless, I learn how to flick the disk just enough to make it fly right. I also rekindled my love for Sugar Ray. Perfect for this summer's soundtrack. The beach at night was too perfect. You don't see that much stars when you're in Manila. It was divine. Like being in one of those space rooms in an astrology convention; it was as if I could tip toe and actually touch them. And then there was the bonfire session. Music, booze, hotdogs and marshmallows and good company. Define perfect.

"I don't care how poor a man is; if he has family, he's rich."  - Dan Wilcox
I love how at the end of the day, I come home to my brother bugging me to bake brownies. I love how my youngest sister asks me what color of nail polish looks good on her and if her glittery shoes match her overly girly outfit. I love how my other sister asks me advice about boys - I'd say it's too early for that but that would make me a hypocrite since I had my first crush when I was in second grade. I love how my dad randomly pops into my room and asks me what I'm doing. I love how my mom dances out of nowhere and grooves to an imaginary beat in her head. I love my family so much, and our dog Archiebald Witwicky.

Me and My Brother Being the Perfect Creepers
Honestly, I don't understand what my brother's trying to get at either.

Me, dad and.. Yeah. Him. Hahaha

My two lovely sisters!

You're Always Rescuing Me.
And last but most definitely not the least, God. I will never cease to thank God for being with me through all this. He has blessed me in so many ways, and I am so grateful for all that He has done for me. He has blessed me with wonderful people and there's nothing more to ask at this point. And after the longest time, I finally feel like everything is falling into its rightful place.
